Buffy Lawson Bio
Buffy Lawson is an accomplished singer/songwriter/artist with a powerful voice from Lexington, Kentucky. From an early age she always knew that music was her calling. After she graduated high school, she set her sights on Nashville, and thus began an enormous journey which has led her to many achievements in the music industry.
Starting as a songwriter and demo singer, she soon landed a role as a backup singer for Lorrie Morgan. This led to opportunities to appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and perform with Neil Diamond on the duet “Marry Me”.
She persevered in her dreams and eventually found herself signed to Curb Records with the duo Bomshel, opening for acts such as Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, and Trace Adkins. Her heartfelt song “Power of One” was featured in the end credits of the movie “Evan Almighty”, and touched the hearts of millions of people around the world.
After three years with Bomshel she decided to re-focus her career on songwriting, and has had songs recorded by Bo Bice, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Randy Travis, Kenny Rogers and even her childhood hero, Dolly Parton. Her accomplishments in music cannot be justly summarized within a few paragraphs, but her talent shines through in every project she puts her heart and soul into.
